Healing From A Community Tragedy: How to cope and navigate on the 4th anniversary of the WalMart shooting

On the 4th anniversary of the Walmart shooting, you are invited to the grounds of the Magoffin Home State Historic Site for a very special community event. Danielle Gardea, LPC-S and Sigal Govrin, LPC, ATR-BC, from Creative Healing Workshops, will lead guests in helping you navigate grief, soothing the body, and have an art therapy session to focus on coping with and managing grief. Many of us have experienced loss on a deep level. Some of us may struggle with it. Danielle and Sigal will explore the bad and the good with this complex emotion, and guide us through our grief through art, creativity, and mindfulness. Art materials will be provided.

Leaning Into Messiness: How to challenge our inner critic through art

Join us for this 2.5 hour interactive workshop about how to challenge your inner critic voice by making art and getting messy! This in-person workshop is facilitated by licensed psychotherapists from CHW, and in collaboration with Artist in Red who will guide "Abstract Splash Art" technique to lean into the messiness. This is an intimate workshops allotting up to 10 participants and pricing includes materials, psycho-education, mindfulness, art therapy, and refreshments! You will be able to take your own experiential painting home (however you will need to return for pickup due to drying time), and find ways to incorporate the lessons learned into every day activities!
